Regardless of hair type or style choice, the best electric shavers will provide a close, comfortable shave every time. Braun has several excellent electric razors that are worth the money since they provide a close, customized shave.

The most important thing, regardless of your motivation for utilizing an electric razor, is to choose the appropriate one. The great news is that Braun makes an electric shaver that works for everyone, regardless of your budget, hair or skin type, or level of personal hygiene expertise.

In order to help you choose the best electric razor for your requirements, I have done extensive testing and evaluated many models. To further assist you in making a decision based on your needs and hair/skin type, we have also included a breakdown of the key distinctions between rotary and foil shavers. These and other frequently asked questions about shaving are addressed at the conclusion of the list.

The Top Best Braun Shavers 2024

Braun Series 9

As of 2015, Braun’s latest flagship shaver was the Series 9. Even though it had its fair share of problems, the Series 9 ultimately lived up to the expectations of fans all across the globe.

Interestingly, Braun released what seemed like a modest upgrade to the Series 9 only one year after the huge debut, which generated a lot of commotion and concerns. The 9390cc is the most similar model in terms of pricing, accessories, and features, but otherwise it performs identically to other 93xx models in the Series 9.

The color is really the only distinguishing feature between the 9385cc and 9390cc. The former has the classic matte silver finish, while the latter is available in a new grayish color treatment dubbed Graphite.

The only considerations for purchase should be availability and pricing. At this time, it seems that the 9390cc is your best bet because to its low price and convenient accessibility.

Thus, the 9390cc, 9370cc, and solo variants without a cleaning station (9340s, 9330s, etc.) will all be included in this study. They are identical in terms of performance, I repeat.

While all 93xx models shave similarly, the 9370cc—often the most affordably priced Series 9 with a cleaning station in the US—has only one cleaning mode rather of three.

Braun Series 9 Pro

The Braun Series 9 Pro has a very understated appearance. The interface and handle are modern, with an LED panel that displays battery life; however, it is both intuitive and comfortable to grasp. You won’t feel any weight on your hand, but the handle is substantial enough that the electric razor won’t fall out of your grasp. The ergonomic, modern form factor makes it obvious that the device’s real strength lies inside, rather than in its outside features.

The Braun Series 9 Pro 9465cc has a number of unique characteristics, but the redesigned Power Case could be its most noteworthy. Despite its heft, the Power Case is a portable charger that can contain 1.5 full charges, allowing you to go six weeks without plugging it in. The Power Case isn’t required to purchase the razor, but I can’t fathom life without it because of how useful it is in my cramped bathroom and when I travel. The SmartCare Center is an optional countertop charger and cleaner that charges the razor and sanitizes it after each use, making it ideal for those who don’t have a lot of place on their bathroom countertops.

An investment in the Braun Series 9 Pro would be wise if one could afford it. From my experience with electric razors, this one is by far the most effective and produces the closest shave I’ve ever had. The Power Case and the other added features are just frosting on the cake.

Braun Series 9 Pro+

It’s no secret that my favorite electric shaver is the Braun Series 9 Pro+. I still think the Series 9 is the greatest electric razor since I use one every day.

In the years since I switched to electric shaving, I’ve tried almost every model on the market, but the Braun Series 9 Pro+ is by far the best. The Braun Series 9 Pro+, however, has supplanted the previous model and I can state with certainty that it is now the best razor on the market.

Braun Series 7

Although its all-plastic construction gives the Braun Series 7 an air of cheapness, the device feels sturdy and well-made. That it’s really lightweight and simple to control is a bonus. Having said that, if you’re looking for an all-metal design, you could be better off with a Philips or Panasonic model.

There is a rubberized grip all the way around the body and the back, although it’s smaller than in the last iteration. However, it is still effective in providing a gripping sensation, so there are no real concerns.

You can see the current state of the travel lock, the battery life, and cleaning reminders on the compact and legible display. By pressing the power button for three seconds, the travel lock prevents this from turning on when in a bag.

There is no button on the head cassette; instead, you have to pull it off. It’s obvious that Braun cut corners here since it’s ungainly and a pain to use with damp hands. Not a huge problem, but it can be a pain if you have to change the heads often.

Speaking of which, it has a triple cut system that handles longer hair with a center trimmer and two foils on each side. Everything is attached to the brand-new model’s 360-degree swivel head. While this performs a better job of following contours, it lacks the locking feature that gives users manual control, which may be a dealbreaker for some.

Also, some people may not like the beard length auto-detection as it prevents them from shaving aggressively by default (if that’s how they want it). Adapting and detecting are handled by it. However, it’s difficult to discern a significant variation across the board.

Braun Series 7 7085cc

Due to its reliability and a few important upgrades, the Braun Series 7 (7085cc) has supplanted the earlier Braun Series 7 (7898cc) as our top recommendation for the best electric razors overall. Similar to its predecessor, the Series 7 (7085cc) has Braun’s AutoSense technology, which detects the thickness of your beard and adjusts the power for a close, one-pass shave.

The new 360° Flex Head shaver, which follows the natural contours of your neck and face, is the most noticeable upgrade to the design. Even when shaving in awkward places like an Adam’s apple or jawline, the new Series 7 (7085cc) makes short work of it.

In addition to a shaver, the new model (7085cc) contains a removable trimmer, as opposed to the older model (7898cc) that had a front-mounted, slide-out trimmer. The trimmer tool is now located on top of the device in the new design, allowing you to see it clearly. See the side-by-side comparison if you’re struggling to see how the two designs vary.

The Braun Series 7 (7085cc) has a 50-minute continuous shave duration and usually lasts three weeks on a single charge. If the battery dies, a short 5-minute charge is usually adequate for one shave.

You can use it in the shower, with water and shaving cream, or wash it off in the sink since, like earlier versions, the Series 7 (7085cc) is completely waterproof.

Braun Series 7 7071cc

For over a decade, Braun has offered many models of its Series 7 razors, and over that time, they have been known for their tight shaves, durability, ease, and pricing. For a long time, we have recommended the Series 7. We still like it over competing brands, and now since it’s much more affordable, it’s an even better pick.

Both the 7085cc and the 7020s provide a close, comfortable shave, much like our top selection, although they have distinct accessories. We believe the 7071cc provides all the features most people need or desire, but costs aren’t always stable, so if you can find a similar model for much less, you may as well get it.

What to Look for in an Ideal Electric Razor

Choosing the best electric shaver may be a daunting task due to the abundance of features available. To help you out, we have compiled a list of the top Braun shavers.

When looking for an electric razor, these are the most important factors to keep in mind:

Type of Blade

The kind of blade is the most crucial factor to think about. If you usually don’t shave very often or have longer stubble, a rotary blade electric razor is your best bet. It follows the shape of your face as you move it in a circular manner. Electric rotary razors work well for guys with medium-to coarse-density beards and normal to dry skin.

Cleaning

When shopping for an electric razor, one feature I usually check for is how simple it is to clean. Failure to do so may lead to the blade being blocked with dead hair and eventually breaking down. Our top picks for electric razors with built-in cleaning systems are ideal for those looking to splurge. You may lessen the likelihood of razor pimples by routinely cleaning your electric razor.

How often is it necessary to clean a razor or trimmer?

It is essential to clean your grooming equipment after each usage to keep them in good operating order and prevent the buildup of germs or rust.

How can one ensure that their grooming equipment are always clean?

Using a barber bristle brush to remove hair from your instruments and a blade cleaning spray are the finest ways to clean your grooming tools.

The Braun Series 7 and Series 9 are two examples of shavers that have an automated base cleaner. To clean your device in the absence of a built-in system, take it apart, brush or rinse out any residual hair, disinfect it, and then re-oil the blade.

Are electric razors designed for use on the face and body interchangeable?

You should use different blades for your face and body, even if certain electric trimmers are suitable for every area. Moist surroundings are ideal for the bacteria in your groin, whereas dry locations with oxygen are ideal for the germs on your face. Irritation and breakouts might result from mixing the two with the same blade everywhere.

You should invest in a different tool for body grooming if you already own a facial grooming gear that you prefer.

Conclusion

After reading this, I really hope you have a clearer idea of the many Braun electric shaver brands and models.

Plus, you have a good idea of which Braun razor is going to work best for your money and requirements.

While my experience was certainly not typical, I do believe that the majority of readers will find my purchasing advice helpful in selecting the best Braun shaver for their needs.
